Equine Lameness Evaluation

Dr. Rod understands the importance of foot care in regards to equine health. He will perform a lameness evaluation as part of your horse’s comprehensive health exam to assess the source and recommend a course of treatment for this serious condition. Lameness can be caused by a variety of issues, including:

  • Injury to bone, muscle, tendons, or ligaments
  • Diseases
  • Overwork
  • Infection
  • Neurological disorders
  • Horse hoof
  • Farrier
  • Horse conformation

If purchasing a horse is in your future, a pre-purchase exam is recommended, including a lameness evaluation. Contact our office today to discuss this service.

Parasite Control

Developing a parasite control treatment plan is a simple, easy way to keep your horse safe and healthy. An informative resource for more information on this important topic can be found at the Mid America Ag Research website.

“I began to bring in my labs into PRVC when I started working there, and was happy to have such a caring and knowledgeable doctor to take care of two of my best friends. It always amazes me just how much care goes into each and every animal, let alone the perseverance of Dr. Yetter and staff (I should call them family) in working out how to treat each and every problem.”
